Ideas and Issues:

Objectivity as a Weapon by William R Thomas
As sophisticated weapons were assaulting the Baathist regime in Baghdad, so was a simple one: the truth. The coalition's program of "embedding" hundreds of reporters within its fighting units helped to convince open-minded people everywhere that the American and British governments were not afraid to have their claims and their enemies' claims judged by independent eyewitnesses.

Feature Story:

Power to the Purchasers! Interview with Frances B. Smith
Consumer Alert is a free-market group that believes consumers will benefit more from a market economy than from government regulation. In an exclusive Navigator interview, Consumer Alert executive director Fran Smith explains how her organization champions pro-choice consumerism to a skeptical Washington bureaucracy.

The Enlightenment Spirit of Edward Jenner by Roger Donway
